Islamophobic: their Koran permits them to beat their wives...
Me: Yes it does but could you tell me what with?
Islamophobic: ...
Me: A blade of grass, I don't know the last time you tried to beat someone with a blade of grass but it is pretty damn impossible, you must look at the people the Qur'an was revealed to, the Arabs at that time (just like most of the world) would beat their wives brutally. To tell them they couldn't beat their wives would have caused rebellion, so Allah (swt) being the greatest of planners, revealed it in a way that was so clever. It permitted them to beat their wives (as not to cause rebellion) however only with a blade of grass (which we all know to be impossible). Then the most beautiful line came saying but surely it is better for you to forgive, do you see now that the Qur'an does not permit the brutal beating of wives which in that time would have saved the lives of many women. Also I suggest you look at the rights of a wife over her husband, then tell me my religion is sexist.

Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy, in case you hadn’t heard. How dare she remove those ticking time bombs from her chest, amiright? Like, hasn’t she learned by now that her body is public domain and we all get to vote on what she does with it? Sheesh, how selfish can ya get.

So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists about being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.

This is distressing and awful to see this..

All of them can fuck the fuck off.

I want to stab all of them in the eye sockets

Haha a woman does something very difficult and painful to preserve her health and all you can do is complain that you don’t get to ogle and sexualize her body

cute

9. Tattoos I want

I’ve never really given this any thought, because I don’t really want a tattoo (I hate needles), but if I was going to get one I would probably get an owl on the back of my shoulder. I’ve always thought of owls as my spirit animal (there are actually two Great Horned Owls living in the tree right above my window— I can hear them hooting all the time), and to me they symbolize a quiet sort of power. It’d be nice to have that sort of totem on my skin to draw that power from.

12. Ideas of a perfect date

Basically any place where both of us can relax and have fun. I always hated those formal sorts of dates because they just seem too nerve-wracking— you feel constantly pressured to say the right thing or make sure there’s no sprig of parsley stuck in your teeth or something. As romantic as that concept is, I would open up a lot more if we did something that was fun for both of us. Lasertag or a movie or something. That way we’d have something to talk about when the conversation drags.

17. A fact about my life

The time that I was born was 11:11 AM. *~The More You Know~*

7. Biggest turn off(s)

One of my biggest turn-offs is desperation. I once went out with a guy (a pity date— I don’t think I have to tell you why this is a Bad Idea) who, aside from overdoing it with the compliments about how beautiful I was, only talked about how it was hard to find a woman who would go out with him and that he didn’t have any friends. It came across as incredibly creepy and pathetic, and it caused me to think that he wasn’t specifically interested in dating me— he was just willing to settle so that he wouldn’t be alone anymore. That doesn’t exactly do wonders for your self-esteem, and I’m glad I dropped him after that first date.

Some words on writing and reading fanfiction

thepunishment:

From these messages I can tell that you have only good intentions in asking me this. So I’m going to answer you, but I also want to tell you a few things about writing fanfiction that you may not have considered so you can better understand where I’m coming from. Also, you submitted this under partial anonymity, but in answering I’m going to give you complete anonymity to keep anyone from bothering you if they disagree with the way you asked this question. Better to be safe than sorry.

Short answer: No, The Punishment is not abandoned, and yes, I’m still going to write it. I can’t tell you when I’ll post the next chapter.

Long answer: Behind the cut.
